Commercial Real Estate Paralegal
Location: San Diego, CA (On-Site)
Compensation: $30-$40 per hour (DOE)
Schedule: Part-Time (20-30 hours/week)
About the Role
We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and proactive Commercial Real Estate Paralegal to support a fast-paced, transaction-driven real estate services team in San Diego. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a high-volume environment, enjoys working on complex deals, and can independently manage legal documentation with precision and efficiency.
You will play a critical role supporting leasing, financing, and property transactions, ensuring documents are accurate, timelines are met, and deals move smoothly from initiation to closing.
Key Responsibilities
- Transactional Support: Draft, review, and redline commercial real estate documents including leases, amendments, NDAs, LOIs, and purchase agreements
- Leasing & Property Transactions: Support leasing workflows and assist with acquisition/disposition documentation
- Loan Closing Support: Assist with financing transactions, including preparing and organizing closing documents and packages
- Due Diligence: Review title documents, surveys, and reports; help resolve title and compliance issues
- Contract Management: Track, manage, and maintain contracts from execution through close-out, ensuring deadlines and obligations are met
- Document Accuracy: Ensure all agreements are thoroughly completed, consistent, and compliant
- Coordination: Work with internal teams, lenders, tenants, and external partners to gather documents and maintain deal momentum
- File & Workflow Management: Maintain organized digital deal files and support collaborative document workflows
Qualifications
- Experience:
- Ideally 3+ years of commercial real estate paralegal experience (not residential)
- Skills & Expertise:
- Strong ability to draft, fill in, and review agreements with high accuracy
- Experience supporting leasing and property transactions
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and transactions simultaneously
- Education/Certifications:
- Paralegal certificate (ABA-approved preferred) or equivalent experience
